The college is committed to basic research and application of life science, focusing on laboratory medicine and early life health management, and simultaneously constructing a national life and health collaborative innovation center featuring life big data, genetic detection, precision medicine and biological robots.

The college has set up 5 majors belonging to three disciplines of science, management and engineering, namely: Medical laboratory science, medical imaging technology, intelligent medical engineering, health service and management and applied psychology, etc., and is devoted to cultivating medical and industrial integration applied talents urgently needed by the society.

The college offers four major course modules, that is: medical laboratory and genetic science, medical image information collection and disease diagnosis, intelligent medical big data analysis and application, health management and behavioral intervention, which provide strong support for the training of high-end modern biomedical talents.

Adhering to the world science and technology frontier and facing the national major needs and people's life and health, the college relies on its own advantages to tackle hard-nut problems of science and technology in the field of life and health. It has established the precision medical testing, the whole genome sequencing, early life precision nutrition, children's health development and exercise intervention, wearable medical sensing technology research and development as well as other key development directions, so as to power the construction of "Healthy China 2030".
