School of Language and Culture is Liaoning Economic and Social Development Research Base of Liaoning Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, key philosophy and social sciences laboratory of colleges and universities in Liaoning province, collaborative innovation center of colleges and universities in Liaoning province, new think-tank of Liaoning provincial cultural innovation and cultural dissemination. It is committed to foster high level innovation talents in new liberal arts development direction and serving the development of cultural industry and social economy.

Facing the revolution of modern information technology, cultural and creative industry and social and economic development, the school aims to cultivate high-level application-oriented talents in the fields of language, culture and legal practice, such as cross-cultural communication, language education and legal service. The school offers four majors, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese Language for International Education, English and Law, among which Chinese Language and Literature and English are the first-class undergraduate majors in Liaoning Province.

The school has a high-level teaching team composed of professors and doctors, 6 of whom have been awarded the Special Allowance of The State Council, The Outstanding Teachers of Liaoning Province, the Academic Leader of Liaoning Province, and the National Famous Translator. More than 70% of the key teachers have overseas study and work experience.
