The chorus art troupe cultivates students'singing ability, improves artistic cultivation and fosters students'ideology and sentiment. By mastering the basic singing methods and skills of chorus, students can understand the basic knowledge of music, deepen their understanding of the art of multi-part chorus and improve their aesthetic style. The course “Chorus Art Performance and Appreciation”is open to freshmen.
Through the form of split chorus, the choir selects the classic chorus repertoire, and rehearses in the way of individual solo, group cooperation and team singing, so that each student can complete three solo and two chorus works. An art exhibition is held every semester. According to the individual performance level and team performance effect, 2 credits will be obtained after passing the examination.

The choir has multimedia classrooms, chorus rehearsal halls, recording studios and multi-functional performance venues, which can undertake the teaching and rehearsal tasks of 300 people every year. “Towards Rejuvenation”, “Yimeng Folk Song”, “I love you, China”, “You raise me up”, “Missing”, “So Many People in the World”, “Longwen”, “Ballet in Spring”, “Red and Gorgeous Shandan Flowers” are the classic performances of the choir.

Lin Xiaofang, Ph.D., chorus instructor, graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music, national third-class actor, director of Liaoning Free Musicians Association, member of China Chorus Association and member of Liaoning Chorus Association. She has won the Gold Award for national singing solo in the second “China Vocal Music International Competition”, the silver award in the fourth “National Vocal Music Competition of Art Colleges and Universities”, and the excellent instructor of “Good Voice on Campus” in Liaoning Province.
Since its establishment, the choir has won 7 national awards and 18 provincial awards, also including the champion of the Top Ten Cities of the College Music Festival in 2017, the first prize of the Chinese division of the 2018 German Frank International Chamber Music Competition, the first prize of the 2018 Shenyang University Original Lyrics and Songs Competition, the total champion of the northeast division of the National Karaoke Campus Star in 2018, the national champion of the 2018 Jingdong Super Nova Competition, the first prize of the third Liaoning College Students’ Online Culture Festival in 2018, and the first prize of the sixth Liaoning College Students’ Art Performance in 2018, excellent original works award and excellent adapted works award of the Fifth National College Students’ Online Culture Festival in 2022.
