The Electroacoustic Band cultivates students'playing skills of electro-acoustic instrument, improves their stage performance level, and cultivates their ideological and moral sentiments. Through mastering the playing methods and skills of electroacoustic instruments, students can understand the basic knowledge of music and deepen their understanding of pop music culture. The course“Electroacoustic Instrument Performance and Pop Music Appreciation”is open to freshmen.
The Electroacoustic Band uses piano, guitar, electric bass and drum set as its carriers, and selects contemporary pop music or original works as its repertoire. Rehearsals are had by individual performance, group cooperation and team combination. Each student will have the opportunity to learn one instrument and play two pieces of music. An art exhibition will be held every semester.

The Electroacoustic Band has an electro-acoustic music practice room and an open-air performance stage. It can undertake teaching and training tasks for 200 people every year. The classic performances of the Electroacoustic Band are The five Star Red Flag, Chasing the Dream, Song of the Red Star, Ordinary Road, Seaside, Canon, Chopin's Polonaze, Snowflake, Can't Sleep Tonight, Song of the Road, Time of Our Lives and so on.

Gao Rui, the tutor of the Electroacoustic Band, graduated from Missouri State University with master degree, is the member of Shenyang Musicians Association. He won the first place in 2017 American Dorothy Jacoby Concerto Competition, the second place in 2017 American Protege International Piano Open competition, the second place in Missouri Division of MTNA Teachers Union Piano Competition, and the first place in American MMTA Missouri Teachers Union Piano Competition. He also held piano recital at Sulzabach-Rosenberg International Music Festival in Germany and Carnegie Hall in New York, USA.
Since its establishment, the Electroacoustic Band has won 5 national awards and 13 provincial awards. It won the Silver Award of the Second Good Voice on Campus in Liaoning Province in 2017, the Champion of 2018 Campus Star Singing, the Gold Medal of Beijing Huayi Cup Youth Piano Competition in 2020, the Gold Medal of Hong Kong International Chamber Music Competition in 2021. In 2021, it won the first prize in the 14th National Aesthetic Education Teaching Achievement Exhibition.
