Chinese Parasol Community is located in the central area of the north campus, adjacent to Hongzhi Building and Baiqing Palace teaching building. There are basketball court, tennis court, Apple Library, supermarket and Phoenix Canteen nearby, which is convenient for students' study, life and sports. Chinese Parasols are shady in the community, so it is named “Chinese Parasol Community”. Walking on Chinese Parasol Road, you will often meet squirrels by chance and feel the Chinese Parasol trees roaring with the wind. Welcome, students with dreams!

The community consists of apartment buildings 4 and 5 and community service center, of which building 4 is for girls and building 5 is for boys, which can accommodate 1568 students. Each bedroom is for four students, with a private toilet and shower, 24-hour hot water, loft bed, table and independent lockers. The apartment building is equipped with a laundry and clothes drying room, and a full-automatic washing machine. The community service center is equipped with living facilities such as open kitchen and shared living room, which is convenient for students to communicate. In the community kitchen, making dumplings with three or five friends is a great enjoyment!
Intro of Communities Life
There is a students’Self-management Committee in the community to carry out self-education, self-management and self-service. The building head, floor head and dormitory head are democratically elected. Every student may become a community administrator and “I am the master of my community”.
The first lesson of community life is the freshman military training, including standing posture, split style, military boxing, and the 1000 person-competition of daily routine sanitation commonly known as the Quilt Folding Competition, which is the most spectacular traditional subject of military training of Shenyang City University. 
Nurturance education runs through the University for four years. In community life, students should pay attention to law in life, diligence in learning, civilization in behavior, hygiene in environment, fashion in clothing, harmony in interpersonal relationship, sincerity in work, safety in living and transportation, develop good behavior habits and grow into talents in an all-round way.
Dumplings on the Dragon Boat Festival, moon cakes on the Mid-Autumn Festival, lucky eggs for the birthday party... The community holds a weekly activity to find “Koi”.
