The military sports club cultivates students' bold and fearless will quality, close cooperation team spirit and persistent sports habits. Students can understand the basic knowledge of military sports through one-year activities, trainings and competitions, be familiar with military sports competition rules and judgment methods, master military sports and CS confrontation skills of 400m obstacle. They obtain 2 credits after passing the examination.
Adhering to the purpose of "improving ability in training and looking for happiness in competition", the club adopts the situational simulation teaching method, commits to the diversification of teaching contents and teaching forms, pays attention to the guidance of students'interests, carries out group teaching and graded assessment, so that students can have fun in activities, improve ability in trainings and gain friendship in competitions. - The military sports club has 22 ordinary teaching teams and 4 high-level sports teams, which can undertake the training task of 300 people every year. The military sports club has a 400 meters military obstacle training ground and a CS training ground. The ground is equipped with cross pile, low wall, ladder, single wooden bridge, high wall and low posture net, which can be used for training and competition of climbing, jumping, dodging, sprint and other ability projects. There are several bunkers “fortresses” in the CS training ground, with complex terrain and dense obstacles. It can carry out various tactical drills and confrontation and it is an ideal campus quality development training base. CS sport is also the favorite club activity of students.
- Zhang Na, instructor of the military sports club, lecturer and master, graduated from Shenyang Institute of physical education. She is a famous Chinese Ski climber, a national first-class athlete and a first-class referee. She has participated in competitions on behalf of the country for many times and won the second place in the 2019 Ski Mountaineering World Cup, the first place in vertical racing and the second place in individual cross-country in the 2018 Ski Mountaineering Asian Cup, and the first place in individual cross-country in the 2017 Ski Mountaineering Asian Cup. In 2019, she led the team to participate in the Lausanne Winter Youth Olympic Games as a coach, known as “the top of Asia”.
Since its establishment, the military sports club has organized students to participate in efficient field confrontation competitions inside and outside the province for many times. The high-level team won the second and fifth place in the Field Confrontation Competition of College Students in Liaoning Province in 2019.
